Team Development Workshop
This workshop aims to help team members to get to know and understand each other better. This knowledge is used to maximise the strength of the team, to encourage the exchange and sharing of resources, open communication and trust.
What Are The Outcomes Of The Workshop?
- At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify each other’s unique strengths and develop ways in which the team can utilise these strengths for maximum impact
- Discover their own and each other’s unique values and motivators
- Explore how conflict can arise within the team and learn how to identify potential conflict situations in advance
- Determine how to diffuse a conflict situation when it arises
- Explore the areas where the team can share knowledge, ideas and resources
- Develop ways to achieve this sharing
- Agree on how the team wishes to work together and develop a strategy to make this happen
How is the Workshop Structured?
This workshop can run over one, two or three days depending on how much content the team wish to cover. A variety of techniques are used including small group exercises, fun activities, discussion forums, personality profiling, plus question and answer sessions. The environment is deliberately kept informal to encourage openness, trust and the exchange of information and learning.
Various personality profiles, tools and techniques are used to enable participants to understand themselves and their colleagues better. These techniques include NLP, Firo-B, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Strengths Development Inventory (SDI) and the Language and Behavioural Patterns Profile. These tools help participants to understand what motivates them and how these motivators differ from others. This information enables the team to explore the impact of these motivators on their and others’ behaviour, particularly surrounding the area of conflict. Finally, the team looks at how and where they can share resources.
